B.Sc (Herbal science)
A BSc Herbal Science honours degree was developed in conjunction with Cork Institute of Technology to support research and production of herbal and natural products. The IIMH feels strongly that the use of herbal products/ herbal medicine should be underpinned by evidence of quality, safety and efficacy.
This course is accredited by the IIMH and can form part of the standard entry requirements for the post graduate Clinical course in Herbal Medicine.
In addition to Clinical studies, graduates of the Herbal Science degree have many possible career opportunities in the areas of natural products, functional foods, food development, and the bio-pharmaceutical sectors.
Post graduate clinical training:
The clinical training programme developed by the Irish College of Traditional and Integrative Medicine (ICTIM) is accredited by the IIMH. Graduates of this programme are eligible to apply for membership of the IIMH. This programme is open to all graduates but is especially relevant to all health care practitioners.
